This is how to use emojis on Windows PC without having to use any separate software.

Use Emojis on Windows 10 and 8.1

Using emoji is much simpler on windows 8 and later, with the native keyboard built right in the system tray. You can access the on-screen touch keyboard from the taskbar.

If the keyboard symbol is not visible in the taskbar, right-click on the taskbar and click on Show touch keyboard button. To access emojis, tap the emoji icon on the touch keyboard.

There you will find a lot of emojis, which are organized into seven categories. To switch categories, simply press a category button along the bottom of the keyboard.

To change emoji skin tones, hit the person category and then tap the skin tone button in the lower left corner of the keyboard.

Windows 7 also supports emojis and you can access them when you visit a web page with emojis. But it does not have a touch keyboard like the Windows 10 to let you use them while typing.

If you want to use emojis on Windows 7 PC, you’ll need to copy and paste them from an emoji website such as Get Emoji. For this, simply highlight the emoji that you want to use with your cursor, press Ctrl+C and then move to the place where you want to use the emoji and finally hit Ctrl+V.

Windows 7, however, supports only black and white emojis.
