AI
plays a vital role in day-to-day life, especially when it comes to business
purpose. It lets you do your tasks quite effectively. For example, if you need
any important file, you just have to search for it and within the blink of an eye;
it will be displayed in front of you. However, if I say that now you can easily
find your required files even before you search for them, you may never
believe. But this is true! Google has introduced a new feature that predicts
the file you require even before you type anything.
Known
as Quick Access for Android, the new feature is only limited to GSuite for
Android app till now. However, you can expect it to arrive on other apps soon.
For
those who don’t know, GSuite is the rebranded version of Google’s business app.
It contains the unified bundle of Office tools like Drive, Docs, Slides,
Spreadsheets, Calendar, Hangouts and other apps. Overall, if we look from the
business prospective, GSuite is much better than Google Apps. And now, with the
addition of new capabilities running on artificial intelligence, the app has
become all the more efficient.
The
new Quick Access for Android feature can reduce the time you search for Google
Drive files by half. All the relevant files will be displayed on a scrolling
area on the top of your drive. So, instead of exploring your Drive folder or
spending time searching for the relevant file, you can easily pick the file you
need from Quick Access Display and start working on it. This way, you can save
a lot of time and utilize it to increase your productivity.
How
Quick Access for Android works?
Quick
Access for Android neatly monitors and analyzes your work activity. Apart from
this, the feature also figures out your collaboration patterns with your
partners across all the apps in G Suite. After a brief analysis, it prioritizes
the files as per their need and preferences and displays high priority files in
Quick Access displays.
Also
the app gets smarter day-by-day with behavioral cues from everyday tasks like
reviews of forecasting spreadsheets or recurring team meetings.
Overall,
Quick Access for Android makes your office work much easier by smartly classifying
the files you need in Quick Access display so that you don’t have to search for
them again and again. It saves you lot of search time and ultimately boosts
your productivity.
At
present, the feature is only available in GSuite. Perhaps, the apps will arrive
on other Android apps sometime soon. Till then, stay tuned for more updates!
